Placement Specialist

Summary:

Entrust Community Services is seeking a dedicated Placement Specialist to implement all aspects of the Individual Program Plan (IPP). This role involves intake and development of IPPs, family and agency meetings, job training, placement and coaching, and program documentation. The Program Specialist will also develop employer and commercial business accounts, ensuring compliance with agency philosophy, accreditation requirements, and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery: Conduct intake and assessments, establish IPP goals, develop training plans, perform periodic reassessments, and maintain documentation of participant progress.
  • IPP Development: Perform assessments, record goals and objectives, develop participant IPPs, facilitate planning sessions, and handle intake and exit procedures.
  • Training and Monitoring: Maintain participant master files, input service hours, collaborate with staff and external entities, implement training plans, educate employers and coworkers, and support participants in overcoming employment barriers.
  • ISE and GSE Services: Provide job site orientation, assist employers in job modifications, develop and implement fading plans, assess workstations, provide mobility training, and support participants with job duties.
  • Sales: Extend business with established accounts, solicit new accounts, follow up on leads, maintain employer database, submit reports, and participate in sales team development.
  • General: Communicate with funding agencies, care providers, and families, advocate for participants, make referrals to external services, and coordinate coverage of services.

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain participant attendance information.
  • Conduct tours as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of: IPP and Pathways Planning Process, human and legal rights, human service system, advocacy issues, manufacturing operations, sales techniques, job development, recruiting, and employment practices.
  • Ability to: Develop reports, set goals, design training programs, support employment choices, conduct sales efforts, communicate effectively, understand directions, interpret technical reports, make decisions, organize workday, and work in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in: Documenting IPPs, assessment, completing technical reports, sales, research, basic math, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving.

Education and Experience Guidelines:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred. High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Two years of sales or marketing experience. One year of human service work preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, develop training plans, draft reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures such as time studies, standards, discounts, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and make decisions with limited standardization.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid and current Washington State Driver's license.
  • Proof of automobile insurance if driving a vehicle.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass the Washington State Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen.
  • Does not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally climb or balance. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
